Pressurebox Pro - FAQ, User Guide and Troubleshooting
Here you’ll find frequently asked questions, guides, and tips for the Pressurebox Pro series.
1. Before Use
When you receive your Pressurebox, open and close the lid a few times to get familiar with the threading.
You may notice a small amount of protective coating on the outside of the lid or container. This coating is applied to protect the internal threads and ensure smooth operation. During transportation, a small amount may appear on the outside and can simply be wiped off.
2. Closing
Close the lid firmly, but use no excessive force, as pressure containers can become harder to open over time. The position where the logo on the lid aligns with the transparent window on the cylinder provides optimal airtightness. If you need easier opening, you can generally close it 1–2 cm less than this point, and it will still be very airtight.
3. Modes and Controls
Leave the Power Switch ON to auto-maintain pressure, or turn it OFF after pressurizing to conserve battery even longer—Pressurebox Pro will still hold pressure for a long time.
Pressurebox Pro has two pressure modes: Normal (green) and High (blue) - for faster ball pressure restoration. Hold the Mode Button for 3 seconds to switch between the pressure modes (Note: mode switching is only possible while the power switch is on).
4. Deflate
Remember to always turn the power switch off - and press the deflate button on the lid before opening the box.
5. Opening
To open it easily, hold the cylinder against your chest with the bottom of your palm, using your full hand rather than your fingers, and rotate the cylinder and the lid in opposite directions (see image).
How-to-Guides and Solutions
Please try the steps below if you are experiencing one or more of these problems:
- The product is leaking air
- The compressor restarts often
- The battery life is shorter than expected
1. Ensure that you are using the product in on-mode, and that you have closed the lid as instructed.
2. Check that the O-ring is clean and correctly positioned in its groove on the cylinder. Also check that the threads of the lid and cylinder are clean and that no dirt is stuck.
3. Take out and lubricate the black rubber O-ring on the outside of the cylinder.
The O-ring is loose and can easily be removed. Make sure it is fixed properly in its groove.
4. Ensure that the deflate button is not stuck open.
If the problem persists, press the deflate button several times to make sure it moves freely.
If this does not help, remove the lid, place it upside down, and use a screwdriver or a similar non-sharp object to firmly press the valve located directly below the deflate button from underneath, so that the deflate button is pushed upward.
This should ensure that the deflate valve is not stuck open.
If the issue persists, please contact us.
For any electronics-related issues, please try the following steps:
1. Fully recharge the device until all four indicator lights stop flashing. This will reset the device.
2. Disconnect the device from the charging cable before attempting to use it.
3. If you are attempting to switch pressure mode, ensure that the power switch is turned on.
4. If the issue persists, please record a short video showing the problem so we can better understand the issue and assist you further.
Answer: For easier opening, avoid tightening the lid too hard when closing the box.
If the lid has been closed too tightly and is difficult to open, try the following steps:
1. Make sure the box is fully deflated, and use the grip shown in our guide and in the information email you received.
2. If it still won’t open, try using a glove (thin skin gloves provide the best grip), a towel, or ask someone stronger to help.
3. If the lid remains stuck, gently tap around the lid threads with a spoon to reduce friction, then try opening it again.
4. If you are still unable to open the box, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
Situation: The balls are too hard
Solution: Since the pressure inside the Pressurebox is higher than the internal pressure of tennis and padel balls, the balls may become too hard if left in the box for an extended period.
This is easy to resolve: simply open the box some time before playing and allow the balls to rest outside of the pressurized environment. The balls will gradually soften as the pressure equalizes.
Situation: The balls are not hard enough
Solution: If you want faster pressure restoration or firmer balls, use the High Pressure mode by pressing and holding the mode/battery button for 3+ seconds until the blue light appears.
If the balls are very soft or old to begin with, restoring pressure may take longer. For best results, start with balls that still have some pressure and use the Pressurebox regularly between sessions to maintain optimal ball performance.
Frequently asked questions
Pressurebox is essentially a more advanced, reusable version of the containers in which new balls are purchased. It preserves and
restores the internal pressure of tennis and padel balls by storing them under pressure. The pressure within the container increases the pressure inside the balls. In essence, it operates in the opposite manner to what occurs when the balls are exposed to 'normal' pressure.
Pressurebox is easy to use. Here is how:
1. Remove the lid and insert your balls after play.
2. Close the lid firmly to ensure that it is sealed airtight. Optimal airtightness is achieved where the logo on the lid aligns with the transparent part of the cylinder. However, since individual strenght varies, make sure not to close the box harder, than what will make you able to open it again.
3. Press the main switch to pressurize. You can leave the switch in the on-mode for automatic pressure maintainance, or keep it in of-mode to save battery. Keep the balls in the container until the next time you play.
4. Before opening Pressurebox again, turn off the main switch, press the deflate button on the lid.
5. Open the lid, take out your pressurized balls, and enjoy!
- No manual pumping is required for the container each time.
- More importantly, the automatic sensor ensures consistent pressure in the container and allows the Pressurebox to add more air when the box's air pressure decreases, maintaining constant pressure. Why is this important? First, all pressure containers experience some leakage. Second, when placing used balls inside, they naturally reduce the air pressure within the container through diffusion. Due to both factors, new air must be pumped in to ensure that the container's air pressure always remains higher than that inside the balls. Without this, which is often the case with less advanced products, it simply doesn't work as effectively.
While the longevity of tennis & padel ball pressure depends on various factors such as playing style and ball quality, it's useful to provide a comparison. Without a Pressurebox, approximately 20% of the ball's pressure is typically lost after just an hour of play, with further gradual decreases over time.
In contrast, when using high-quality tennis/padelballs with Pressurebox, the pressure in your balls will be comparable to new balls, even after several sessions & matches.
It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, and the balls may show some wear and tear after prolonged use, such as the logo becoming less visible. However, in most cases, the playing experience remains satisfactory even after extended use. For padel, the impact on ball felt is even less, leading to an even longer playing time.
Short answer: It depends on the condition of the balls, as Pressurebox restores pressure gradually. It also depends on whether you use Normal pressure mode (slower pressure restoration) or High pressure mode (faster pressure restoration).
The most common usage of Pressurebox by regular players with high playing standards, is to buy new balls as usual, then put them in the box each time after play, which will allow you to play with the balls much longer and increase ball quality, from the second session of play and onwards. In this user case, Pressurebox will usually get the pressure back as soon as the next day, or shortly thereafter.
Note that completely pressureless balls can not be inflated again. For the quickest & best results, it is best to use balls that has a decent amount of pressure left in them - which usually is the case even for many leftover balls that can be found anywear in tennis & padel clubs.
